The pine cones are untouched. They have not been polished, glazed, baked, or otherwise reconditioned (leave up to owner).
There is natural sap on the cones, which can be used to create its own natural sheen when baked (200 degrees for approx. 15+ min OR search internet for various methods).
The cones stands upright (does not need to be propped against something in order for it to stand upright).
