Kalamazoo KG-2 Electric Guitar White Vintage - 1960s - Ready To Play!
The Kalamazoo KG-2 was Gibson's entry into the beginner level guitar market. Although budget priced, the KG-2 still has a lot of higher end Gibson parts used in it's construction. Utilizing a Fender Mustang shaped body with a bolt on maple neck, it's outfitted with hardware harvested from Gibson's Melody Maker line of guitars. The one piece bridge, tail piece and single coil pickups were all borrowed from Gibson's own entry level guitar. The single coil pickups give this guitar a nice bite from the bridge pickup and warm, bell-like tones from the neck pickup, not unlike a Telecaster.
Recently setup, cleaned and tested by our technician - including new strings
Good condition - many scratches and dings, chips/wear in paint; chips in headstock where tuning keys were replaced (pictured)
Original tuning keys have been replaced by updated Grover keys
